The fourth meeting of the working group on the research and production of indigenous vaccines for aquatic organisms

According to the public relations of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, based on the policies of resistance economy and protection of Iranian goods in order to prevent the epidemic of fatal aquatic diseases and in order to increase production in accordance with development plans and promotion food security in order to prioritize the research and production of indigenous vaccines against different strains of isolated pathogens in the country for aquatic organisms used in aquaculture, the fourth meeting of the working group on the research and production of indigenous vaccines for aquatic organisms was organized by the Department of Health and Aquatic Diseases of the institute at the session hall of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute with the presence of Dr. Pourkazemi, the director of the institute, Dr. Amghi, the deputy director of research and production of biological products of the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute and the accompanied group, Dr. Qajari, the director general of the Office of Health Management and Control of Aquatic Diseases of the National Veterinary Organization and its related colleagues and the members of the working group on the research and development of indigenous vaccines for aquatic organisms. During this meeting, important aquatic diseases and problems of the executive departments of the country regarding the use of existing vaccines and the needs of aquaculture farmers were debated. It was decided to take the necessary measures using existing capabilities in the country and consulting with international researchers to acquire technical knowledge of the production of indigenous vaccines for aquatic organisms. A program for research and production of indigenous vaccines for aquatic organisms should be developed and in partnership with the Iran Fisheries Organization, aquaculture unions and universities. In this program, the timetable, required budget, partner organizations and job description of each one should be specified.
