According to the public relations of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute, registration of the articles of the two Iranian Journals of Fisheries Sciences, which are the senior national fisheries journals in the country, was conducted on the DOAJ, OceanDocs, Aquatic Commons, ASFA and ProQuest websites where the results of this valuable indexing on the Scopus website are accessible through the following diagrams. It should be noted that the following statistics are only belongs to the first six months of 2018 on the Scopus website. It is confirmed that during this period, the number of references to the articles of the two journals of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute has shown a significant increase over the past years. According to the statistics provided by the Scopus website in the first six months of 2018, 268 articles were cited in English journal articles, whereas 348 articles were cited in English journal articles in the year 2017. Inconsideration of the fact that the journal impact factor (IF)depends on the the frequency with which the average article in a journal has been cited in other journals, the prospect of a significant increase in the journal IF will be raised in the upcoming evaluation of the Scopus website.
