At the inauguration ceremony of the Fourth National Festival and Exhibition of Medicinal Plants, Natural Products and Iranian Traditional Medicine, Mr. Mahmoud Hojati, the minister of the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad pointed to the neglected potential of this section and mentioned that various plants, whether on land or at sea, are considered as national treasures and it should be possible to use the latest available sciences in the world to use its products for the treatment and development of health. Dr. Sattari, the deputy director of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology of the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, mentioned that the holding of these exhibitions is aimed at improving the health and livelihoods of the people and expressed his hope that the path to the growth and production of knowledge-based products would be more prosperous in the future. At the ceremony of visiting the pavilions, Dr. Pourkazemi, the director of the institute emphasized the importance of the bold presence of the Iranian Fisheries Science and Research Institute at the exhibition. Dr. Asareh, the scientific secretary of the exhibition, presented a brief account of the condition of the cultivation of medicinal plants in the world and announced the growing demand for herbal products. It should be noted that the exhibition has continued from November 12 to 15, 2018 and enthusiasts can visit Booth No. 356 to visit the technological products of the institute in the field of aquatic plants.
