The Research and Technology Exhibition of Gilan province was held in the Research Week in Rasht from December 15 to December 18, 2018. The purposes of the National Inland Water Aquaculture Institute for participation in the exhibition were to introduce the latest research achievements in the field ofSander lucioperca fish farming, selective breeding of carp, monitoring fish farming in cages, creating the gene bank for valuable fish species of the Caspian Sea, producing the diagnostic kit for VHS disease in trout, introducing various aquatic products, producing the juvenile Caspian white fish for aquaculture sector and producing the economically important algae. On the first day of the exhibition, many provincial officials including the governor of Gilan province, the head of the Management and Planning Organization of Iran in Gilan province, the deputy director of research and technology of the province, the head of the Science and Technology Park and other officials visited the booth of the institute.
