Loliginid squids occur in temperate and tropical coastal waters where they have been considered economically important (Valinassab et al., 2006; Anderson, 2000). Uroteuthis(Photololigo) duvaucelii(Orbigny, 1835) or Indian squid is the most abundant group of Teuthida (Family Loliginidae) in the Persian Gulf and Oman Sea (Valinassab, 1993).
